- As on January 2006, first academician from Asia (Based on using search websites) to write 'Management Thought', a book on management thought, thinkers and present day management wizards.
- As on November 16, 2007, first academician from the Department of Higher Education of Government of Odisha, India to be awarded D.Litt. in Business Administration.
- Awarded Order of Merit for Management by Indian Council of Management Executives, Mumbai, India in the year 1999.
- Awarded ‘Best Participant’ in the Refresher course in "Management" held in the Academic Staff College, Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, India in the year 1996.
- Awarded "Fellow" by the Institute of Management and Marketing Studies, Orissa, India in the year 1989.
